Is this a type of mangrove?

    Last week went to kranji during low tide and explore. Got this plant.
    Is it a type of mangrove.
    It's not those long seed type.
    Had plant into my DT, fully submerged.
    Seems like the leaves and roots are growing even though it is fully submerged 24/7.

    Yup it does look like a mangrove plant. Good for slow nutrients export.

    yup it does look like a mangrove plant to me as well. IMO you need lots and lots of them to be effective enough in exporting nutrients.

    Actually I hope that the roots will absorb the nitrogen inside the sand. Also hope to reduce hydrogen sulphide from building up. That's the problem with sand in a reef tank.

    prevent hydrogen sulphide from building up is very simple. get 10+ nassaurius snails. can also get a diamond watchmen goby.

    The beach ,kranji ,pasirris,changi,east coast ,sembawang ,punggol, go early before the cleaners make their rounds.
