If it is for fish only , it is okay. And you don't exactly need the actinic light for fish only.

Slow and Steady wins the game....no point add corals fast to look like totm when water not yet matured and find them dying one by one few months later.... you are doing the right thing.

Manage to scape abit and now able to clean the back glasd. Looks much better. Only added a RBTA and Yellow Tang.
One thing about the Red slime remover, is that its tends to stress my mushroom and golden clove....now slowly recover after a week

Had not really update on my tank. Remove almost more than 1/3 rocks in tank as perfer lesser rocks look. For the past 4mths..did get couple of sps frag and some brown one to test out. So far so good and recently brown sps start to color up. P_20170809_221522.jpg

Recently my skimz calcium reactor was down due to impeller shaft waer n tear. Was noisy or not spinning when OFF. Need to turn impeller in order to kick start but will be noisy and flowrate weak. Try buying the impeller alone but was told no part..... so end endup buying a new pump.
Well..as was not really happy to rest the old pump due to just impeller issue. So found a simple and inexpensive way to mod its.
Basically u need to buy those wire insulator and insert into the worn out shaft (becomes thinner) and then heat its with solder iron or lighter. U may need to double shrink wrap its if the wire insulator is too thin to make up the thickness for the shaft...
Now the old pump works like a charm
